The psychological CounselingA short-term process with a specialist designed to help you better understand yourself and navigate difficult times. service is open to the entire university community (students, PhD candidates, postgraduate fellows, and staff). The UNINT – COUNSEL listening desk offers a safe and welcoming space where students can explore and address their personal, emotional, and academic challenges. Through private and confidential individual sessions with experienced professionals, the service aims to support students’ psychological well-being by facilitating the management of stress, anxiety, and relationship issues. Additionally, the service promotes self-awareness and personal growth, providing practical tools to enhance coping skills and foster a healthy balance between academic and personal life. With an empathetic and non-judgmental approach, the listening desk aims to be a key point of reference for all students, helping to build a more inclusive and supportive university environment.
Through these goals, the UNINT – COUNSEL listening desk aims to support students throughout their academic journey, promoting both their psychological and social well-being.
The service aims to:
- Support with Adjustment: Providing assistance to students in facing the adjustment difficulties associated with entering university life, including doubts about academic choices, managing independent study schedules, and social relationships.
- Support and a listening ear for women affected by violence, creating a safe and welcoming space where they can share their experiences and receive professional help. Through individual and group interventions, we promote self-awareness, ResilienceThe ability to bounce back after difficult times., and empowerment, supporting them on their journey of healing and recovery.
- Managing Anxiety and Loneliness: Helping students manage anxiety and the sense of isolation that can arise during their studies, especially during critical moments such as approaching graduation or comparing oneself to peers.
- Reflecting on Experiences: Offering a safe space to reflect on negative experiences, allowing students to understand and make sense of their distress, rather than simply trying to eliminate it.
- Promoting Well-being: Fostering students’ ability to recognize and appreciate small wins, thereby counteracting feelings of frustration and helplessness.
- Access to Psychological Counseling: Offering easy access to psychological consultations, with the possibility of Follow-upMonitoring sessions after the journey, to see how you are doing and whether further support is needed. sessions based on individual needs.

The service is open to students experiencing difficulties related to:
- adjusting to university life
- exam anxiety, stress, and Difficulty concentratingWhen it is hard to maintain attention, remember things, or stay focused on a task.;
- uncertainty about your choice of study;
- relationship and emotional difficulties;
- feelings of DisorientationA feeling of being confused, lost, or not knowing which direction to take in life or in your studies., isolation, or general dissatisfaction;
Eligible Users
The service is free of charge and open to all currently enrolled students, specifically to:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students
- PhD students and specializing students
- Students with Disabilities and/or SLD (SEN/SLD Desk)

Upon request, an appointment is scheduled for the student within a short period of time, specifying the date and time of the session (ranging from one to four sessions), as well as the name of the psychologist who will conduct the consultation.
Service hours: The desk is open Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Thursday and Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
