On October 10th, 2025, the University of Rome “Foro Italico” hosted an event day dedicated to the psychological wellbeing of university students. The initiative focused on integrating physical activity and mental health, highlighting the relationship between sports, physical exercise, and mental wellbeing through innovative tools and dedicated spaces.
The day opened at 3:00 pm in Lecture Hall SNA1 at Via dei Robilant 1, with a scientific presentation session discussing the findings of the latest cognitive-motor research and the impact of physical movement on students’ mental health and academic performance. Following this, at 4:30 pm, the Research, Sports, and Wellbeing Hub was inaugurated in Room SNA3, marking a major milestone for the Pro-Ben Lazio1 project. This facility will serve as a key point of reference for promoting the mental and physical wellbeing of the entire student body.
During the inauguration, students (along with other visitors) were able to participate for free in innovative workouts, such as cognitive-motor dual-task (CMDT) sessions – techniques that combine cognitive and motor exercises to improve attention, focus, and psychological wellbeing. Moving forward, the space will remain open and accessible to the entire student body, completely free of charge.
