LUMSA’s Psychological Counseling Service offers a free psychological support space for students and PhD candidates (also available in English), both in person and online. It is designed for anyone experiencing periods of difficulty or crisis related to anxiety and emotional distress, social and relationship issues, stress management, doubts regarding academic, professional, or vocational paths, as well as family, relationship, or family-of-origin difficulties. The process includes up to a maximum of 7 sessions with licensed psychologists and psychotherapists, aimed at exploring challenges and identifying practical options to transform difficulties into opportunities for personal growth.

The service is open to students experiencing difficulties related to:

  • adjusting to university life
  • exam anxiety, stress, and ;
  • uncertainty about your choice of study;
  • relationship and emotional difficulties;
  • feelings of , isolation, or general dissatisfaction;

Eligible Users

The service is free of charge and open to all currently enrolled students, specifically to:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students
  • PhD students and specializing students
  • Erasmus students (both incoming and outgoing)
  • Students with Disabilities and/or Specific Learning Difficulties

Number of free sessions offered: 7
: 1 session, 6 months after the final appointment

Service Delivery Methods

Sessions are held in person.

Online sessions are available to:

  • Erasmus and International Exchange Students (online upon request)
  • Students at regional campuses
  • Students with disabilities or mobility impairments

The service provides specific support measures for Erasmus and international students:
